Kids policy
Kids can do chores. They cannot be tracked, sold to, or shown the keys.
Under 13: a profile, not an account
- A parent or guardian in the home makes the profile. We store a first name or nickname. Nothing else.
- No email, phone number, birthday, photo, location or contacts for a child.
- A child profile cannot sign in. It exists so adults can assign chores to it.
- A locked Kid mode, where a child sees only their own chores on a family device, arrives with the phone app. It is not built yet.
13 to 17: a teen account, invited by an adult
- A teen signs in with their own email after an adult in the home invites them.
- Teens see chores, the house record and appliance pages, and can check chores off.
- Teens cannot invite, remove or change people, and cannot delete the home.
- Teens cannot see codes that an adult has marked adults only.
For every child and teen
- No ads, ever.
- No selling or sharing their data.
- No usage analytics tied to a kid profile.
- No chat, no public profiles, no contact with anyone outside the home.
What parents can always do
- Remove a child profile at any time. It is deleted right away.
- Remove a teen from the home at any time.
- Deleting the home deletes every child profile in it.
Questions about a child profile? Any adult in the home can see and remove it under People. Back to Gablebook
